USO Recreation/Entertainment Center Renovation

Camp McCrady USO

Columbia, SC – September 13, 2013

Many of the troops at Camp McCrady Training Center are there to train prior to deployment. Camp McCrady Training Center is a permanent home for the National Guard and holds training for the Army, Marines, and Navy.

The Camp McCrady USO Center received a $37,000 renovation of the entertainment and recreation areas of their facility. As a result of this contribution by the Armed Forces Families Foundation, the Center was equipped with new recliner chairs, theater seating, and carpeting, along with a new television, multi-game table, pool table, and outdoor basketball goals for the soldiers and families to use, with the ribbon cutting ceremony held on September 13, 2013.

USO South Carolina-Camp McCrady opened the USO Center in 2011. The Center has more than 2,500 visitors on a monthly basis.
