AFFF donates $14,650 to Tampa Airport USO for furniture upgrades, more
The Armed Forces Families Foundation donated $14,650 to USO Central Florida to improve the USO Welcome Center at Tampa International Airport.
The funds were used to upgrade existing infrastructure at the facility by providing new furniture and fixtures.
The improvements included a new registration desk, chairs, stools and table tops. Additionally, the funds provided for new computer hardware, a security system, appliances and display cases.
The funds were also used to install a new sliding door to provide enhanced privacy and comfort in the quiet room.
The USO at Tampa International Airport serves 300,000 active military personnel and their family members including those transiting to and from MacDill Air Force Base.
