USO Eglin Air Force Base
Mobile-Pensacola, DMA
The Armed Forces Families Foundation and United Service Organization have completed building a brand new USO Center at Eglin Air Force Base in Okaloosa County, Florida.
AFFF provided $140,000 to help cover the cost to build out the new Center. A significant portion of the donation went towards remodeling space donated by Eglin AFB and converting the area into a functional USO center.
The funds provided by AFFF went toward dining areas, the installation of three pool tables, a sports simulator, seven mounted TVs, expanded internet cafe area, an arcade room, computer lab, conference room and additional indoor program space. The new facility also has a dedicated kid’s room, which is fully equipped with toys, books, and age-appropriate games.

Overall, Eglin AFB supports about 71,400 personnel including active duty, civilians, contractors, dependents, and retirees.
