AFFF provides $40,000 to Patrick Air Force Base playground improvements

PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – The Armed Forces Families Foundation provided $40,000 to upgrade replace a playground and make upgrades to the playground area at Patrick Air Force Base.

The prior playground had become rusted, and was replaced with one that has a lifetime guarantee.  Additionally, the old swing sets were replaced, two slides were replaced and a new rubberized mat around the playground area was installed. Also, a shade cover above the play area, a handicap ramp and a handicap swing were also installed.

The playground is located within the military family housing area of Patrick Air Force Base, which allows more than one thousand military members, their families and their children to enjoy the playground.
