USCG Station Fort Myers Beach receives $32,020 from Armed Forces Families Foundation

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – The Armed Forces Families Foundation provided $32,020 to the USO for Coast Guard Station Fort Myers Beach to provide upgrades to the Training Deck and Mess Deck.

The Training Deck upgrades consisted of new furnishings including a TV, fan, sound system, training table, chairs and more.

Upgrades to the Mess Deck included adding a new coffee maker, booths and benches, high tables and chairs, a refrigerator and more.

The Training Deck and Mess Decks support Coast Guard crew members, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Navy Sea Cadets, local ems and law enforcement, and their family members. The Training Deck and Mess Decks are the largest common areas to host visiting family members.

USO Central Florida serves more than 100,000 service members and their families at its centers annually and 75,000 additional service members and families through programming.
