AFFF provides $115K to Southeastern Guide Dogs for new courtyard and gardens

PALMETTO, Fla. – The Armed Forces Families Foundation is providing $115,029.50 to Southeastern Guide Dogs to help that organization build a courtyard and gardens on its dog training campus.

Southeastern Guide Dogs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that has was founded in 1982 to breed, raise, and train elite service dogs for people in need. Over the past 40 years they have successfully partnered over 1200 service dogs at no charge to the recipients.

Many of the recipients of the guide dogs are American veterans suffering from PTSD. Gold Star families also often receive guide dogs from the nonprofit.

Guide dog recipients receive intense training with their new service animal at Southeastern Guide Dogs. The new gardens and courtyard will provide a tranquil space for dog recipients during their healing journey.
